Summary
Naruto knows Sai isn’t technically wrong. Naruto has been so, so angry and betrayed these three years; how dare Sasuke do this to them. To him. Leaving him and Sakura just like that; saying that Naruto is his best friend before just— fucking off. For all that he’s dead-set on bringing Sasuke back, he knows that no one would blame him if he admitted to that anger.
Has he forgiven Sasuke for any of it yet?

"Oh."
Sasuke wandered inside. "What?"
"There's only one futon," he added, "and it's not big. Like at all." Naruto rubbed the back of his neck. "Do you think we can ask for a different—"
"This is the only room that was available," Sasuke said, eye slightly twitching.

“So if I walk closer, you’re going to…what, teleport? Respawn?”
“Something like that.” He responded.
“No wonder you smell so lonely.”
“I still don’t know what that means.” He said, standing up from the bed. “If anyone touches me, I pop to the nearest bed. Usually mine. Sometimes, the one at my mom’s house she keeps for me, which is worse. I can be bumped in a crowd and—” He mimed a cutaway. “Gone.”
“So you’re allergic to contact.”
“That’s the working theory.”
She chewed on that, mouth curving like she wanted to make a joke and was deciding if he could handle it. “And yet you invited a woman you barely know to your apartment.”
“You texted ‘come now,’” he said. “I’m not very bright.”

Summary
Kakashi looks at him expectantly and it’s only then that Iruka realizes he actually has to do something since Kakashi agreed to let him try this. He goes slowly, hoping that his deliberate movements come across as confidence and not what they actually are.
It's probably best for Kakashi to stay where he is on the couch, so Iruka goes around the back of it to stand behind him. Iruka starts to move his hands where he needs to. Hesitates. Tries again. Gets a little closer. Still can't.
“Can I … I need to, uhm — is it alright if I touch you?”
or, what started as iruka offering to try relieving the stress of the sharingan for kakashi leads to the two of them spending unprecedented amounts of time together. and now ...
well, iruka isn't quite sure what they are now.

Summary
Here is what June looks like:
Naruto's car with the windows all the way down. Kiba with his feet out the passenger side. Sakura painting her toenails on someone's front steps, the bottle tipping, almost.
No one is perfect, no. But when the light shifts at the intersection and he catches those seafoam-blue eyes blinking open, framed by coloured hair that’s tinted orange in the glow of the fading afternoon, he almost goes against his principle; he almost believes in perfection.
