“You busy?” Jungkook asked, nodding toward the open laptop left precariously on the edge of the mattress.
“No,” Jimin replied much too eagerly. “No, why? You get lonely eating by yourself?”
Jungkook grinned. “How’d you guess?” He leaned away from the door frame, sticking his hands in his pockets. He rocked back on his heels, tongue running over his teeth as he formulated his next words. “I figure it’s only natural we keep running into each other; I like to keep up trends. So, dinner?”
“Yes, yeah,” Jimin stuttered. “Of course. Just give me, like, a minute. I should change.” He made a quick glance down at his comfy, although not too attractive, joggers.
“I think you look good already,” Jungkook argued.

Jimin's flight home gets cancelled. And, well, if he's going to be stuck in Jeju for another night, he's at least grateful for the very attractive company.

Jimin lets his eyes roam down Jungkook’s body, slow and stealthy. God, he’s hot on camera, but in person he’s otherworldly. Big, shining eyes, blinding smile, long legs, strong thighs. He looks like he’s been carved out of marble. And those arms, those hands… they’d be absolutely perfect for putting Jimin in a chokehold.
Not that Jimin is thinking about that. Absolutely not.
Jimin clears his throat. “Well, Jungkook. The reason I hate you is because you took my number one spot.”

Jimin looked incredulous. His pretty eyes blinked rapidly, body puffing up in disbelief. “It’s one in the goddamn morning.”
Jungkook only cocked his head indulgently. Slid his hand into the pocket of his hoodie and tried not to sway closer. No doubt this neighbour of his would call the police on him.
“Yeah,” he said simply.
“That means I wasn’t asleep early,” his beautiful neighbour deadpanned. “It’s after midnight. A time where most people usually retire for bed. You know, in case that wasn’t clear enough.”
Retire for bed. God, Jimin was such an old man. Who even said that anymore?
Jungkook—very inappropriately—wanted to bite him.
If Jeon Jungkook’s life were a comedy, it would be the kind of sitcom built entirely around his spectacularly bad luck. If it were a horror movie, it would focus on the psychological damage inflicted by his villainous friends. And if it were a romantic comedy—where he repeatedly humiliates himself yet somehow still gets the guy in the end—
Well. That’s where Park Jimin comes in.
