Summary
Nobody warned Sirius how awkward coming back from the dead could be.
In exchange for saving him, Hermione gave Sirius only one instruction: “We can’t interfere,” she insisted. “If anyone finds out you’re alive before the right time it will ruin everything.” Too bad that Sirius Black was never very good at respecting rules.
Of course, if he had followed the rules, he wouldn't have discovered that Remus Lupin has apparently taken his death rather badly.

Summary
Sirius Black never thought he was the kind of person who would ever settle in a sleepy village outside of London, but that was before Lily and James Potter died, leaving their son in Sirius' care.
Remus Lupin never thought he would return to his childhood village, but that was before he found himself being a single parent in a foreign country.
Neither of them thought they were looking for something, but maybe they were.

Summary
James was trying to “find himself” whatever-the-fuck that means. And Sirius, as his long-exasperated best friend, was dragged along with him, finding themselves in Kerry, Ireland.
Luckily, Sirius had Moony: his anonymous online confidant, his late-night constant, his almost-something, to keep him sane in the face of his (second) brother losing the plot. Only, Moony has no interest in taking things further than that. But it's enough for Sirius.
Or, it had been, right up until he and James broke down on the side of the road, and were saved by a good-looking local, Remus.

Summary
When Remus was nine, his family moved to a small town that never quite felt like home, where some things were better left unsaid, and where leaving was easier imagined than done. There, he met a lonely boy in a lonely, grand house, and their lives became entwined in ways neither of them expected.
As the years passed, carefully guarded secrets, the weight of expectations, love, and the pull of life beyond the small town threatened to unravel what they built together. When the boy finally comes home, Remus must decide whether some places, or people, can ever really be left behind, and if he's willing to risk it all.
