Illuga felt his blood run cold. A familiar gloved hand reached out from right behind him, and it pried away his grip on his polearm, taking its place and intertwining their hands together.
The weapon dissipated, and Illuga was left to digest the gaping contrast between the physical warmth and the intense, overwhelming feeling of vulnerability that was crashing over him like a wave in the ocean.
He wasn’t given much time to process, though, since he was soon spun around to face an almost pouting Lohen.
“C’mon, no greeting back? Was my last stunt so bad it made you hate my guts, or is your mouth just that much worse off?”
