Quinn held the fish bowl helmet in his hands. It was an option now. His nose was still healing. The bruise was mostly gone, he doubt anyone would notice it. But that was both a good and bad thing. It was tender and very breakable. And he'd prefer not to break his nose again. But Quinn knew, this was Vancouver. His old arena and his old fans, ... it was going to be weird no matter what. But did he want to make it worse?
Kirill was waiting for him to put it on. They had talked about it. Who cared if someone said something? Not wanting to have your nose broken again isn't like... a bad thing? Right?

Kirill knew if he hadn’t kept his eyes on Gideon that he wouldn’t believe what came next. He needed the proof. Kirill had to watch it. If he couldn’t do it. He at least had to watch it.
Kirill was wearing black. A black t-shirt, that was what Mack said to do. Quinn as well. Black. Will. They were in black t-shirts.
It stood starkly against the rainbow colored confetti that surrounded them. It floated in the air like beautiful snow. It piled on the floor in clumps. Confetti. It was everywhere.
The sound. He blinked. He thought it would be louder. It wasn’t. It was muffled. The gun had an attachment. That was what muffled the sound. Quinn did it fast.
Shooting a gun was easy.
Kirill knew this.
It was hard to aim. Birds were small, they moved quickly. Small game had a similar problem, and add the fact they hid in grass and bushes.
But big prey, you had to sneak up on them. Kirill knew this. Gideon had to be taken out from behind. And the aim had to be true. Too far left, Quinn would have shot Will. Too far right, he’d shoot Mack. No. The aim was difficult. It needed to be precise.
That’s why Kirill should have done it. He hunted in Russia.
