There was a blood stain on the carpet.
Okay, Techno was pretty sure it was blood; it was the same dark reddish-brown he thought blood dried to, and it was the only thing that made sense on what could be staining the musty carpet of the old cabin he and Phil had just moved into.
When Phil first showed him the photos of the place on Craigslist, Techno hadn’t seen anything off in the few photos provided. A small, two bedroom cabin just outside the city’s limit, and incredibly dirt cheap. Sure, it definitely fit the description of a house someone definitely died in, but they were getting desperate, and Techno could confidently say that if the neighbors had another party at two in the morning, Phil was going to commit arson.
But with buying suspicious houses off of Craigslists comes with extensive cleaning. And with extensive cleaning comes, apparently, a blood stain on the carpet that would not come out.
Techno and Philza move away from the bustle of the city to a too good to be true cabin in the woods. What’s the worst that could happen when you buy a home off of Craigslist?
