Summary
It was their favorite place. Even in the summer, the horridly humid Ohio summers, Tyler and Josh would be up in the tree house out in the woods behind Tyler’s house. The two boys, nearly finished with high school, spent all their time out in the forest. Tyler loved using the isolated space to exercise his musical ideas without being heard. Josh loved getting away from his controlling parents and getting to listen to whatever weird music Tyler came up with.
Some of their best days were spent in the tree house or around it. But they also spent their bad days there. Like today.

Summary
It's indescribable how much Josh Dun is pissing him off right now. Out of the corner of his eye, he can see the emo kid sitting behind the register, pretending not to watch as Tyler loads his basket up with snacks, face flushed and pupils dilated. Pretending to be too absorbed with his iPod Nano to care about whatever the hell Tyler Joseph's problem is.
Tyler's tempted to move to another aisle to escape Josh's scrutiny, but he knows he'll still be clearly visible in the convex security mirrors on the walls above the drink coolers. The bulk of the medical walking boot on his right leg doesn't afford him much subtlety, either. So, he just picks up the pace, grabbing things indiscriminately so he can get out of here faster. For some reason- well, he knows the reason- his heart is racing. He chews a little harder on the gum in his mouth. Then he swallows it. Then, he fishes the paper wrapper out of his front pocket and chews and swallows that too.

But just don't ask about my appetite, I didn't lose it tonight.
It's been gone half my life
It's just..
I've been eating for you, but my fingertips always end up hovering over the hem of my shirt.
I call it a habit.'Maintenance', isn't the right word, but it's the first one that comes to mind.
