In the beginning, none of them planned on the arrangement lasting. Any of them would tell you that if asked, admitting that they never expected to stay together, that they never expected to build a home out of a collection of broken people, lost hope, and paint peeled walls. Maybe it was never even meant to last, but The Mighty Nein have never been beholden to the strings of fate, instead grabbing their golden threads and weaving them together into a tapestry that includes each and every one of them, whether the Matron of Ravens likes it or not.
All they’ve done has been against the odds, but they’ve made it through in spite of them, and now… now they can just live in the moment, in their day-to-day, their lives intertwined for forever.
