Seven months. That’s all the time Mammon has been given, before death takes him away like it took away Lilith, like how it took away his parents. And that’s if he’s lucky.
With that realization thrusted upon him, the thought of Lucifer lingered on his mind. If…when Mammon dies, Lucifer would be all alone. Mammon’s older brother, who he cherish very dearly, would be stuck in a house with six empty bedrooms, until death takes him next.
And if Lucifer finds out about his deadline, he would go back into debt searching for some alternative solution to buy him some more time.
With those undeniable truths, something churned in him.
As much as Mammon’s been avoidant, he sucks it up and reaches out to his younger brothers to rebuild that connection that has been lost. The result varies, yet Mammon still persists.
He has seven months to rebuild their family, piece by piece, while keeping his deadline a secret.

It’s a little known fact that Lucifer is everyone’s emergency contact. When it comes to those he cares about, he is protective, almost annoyingly so. So, it makes sense that the person who knows everything about everyone should be in charge if something goes awry. His phone hardly ever rings for emergencies, half because his brothers’ manage to get themselves out of trouble through a series of convoluted and confusing hijinks and half because most of them would rather eat nails than call him to tell him something is wrong.
