    Summary

Maverick opened his eyes and looked in front of him. Goose. It was him, the mustache and all. He was wearing his flight suit, blood from his nose, trickling down and staining the collar of his uniform. Goose looked confused, like he didn’t know why Mav was sobbing. Maverick pushed himself back into the corner of the room, Goose followed, doing so slowly as if trying not to startle a stray cat. Mav must be going crazy; he has to be! Goose is dead! “H-how are you-... You’re dead! I… Oh God, I must be going Insane.”

Or; Goose isn’t haunting Maverick because he has unfinished business. It’s because he isn't a ghost.

OR; Goose gets a second chance at life and TG:M goes a bit differently

    Summary

“Who-who’s getting married, excuse me?” was what Jake blurted out as a question.

Because his mind was literally refusing to believe a single word Bradley was saying and the point he was making by using that verb in a meaningful sentence with the two of them as the subject.

Bradley’s hand, large and warm, rested on Jake’s chest and he felt his heart leap into his throat at such an embarrassing rate that he thought, for a long moment, that he was going to collapse and pass out in front of them all.

“You and me, silly. There’s no need to hide our love from Ice and Mav anymore,” Bradley whispered in a fake sweet tone, as the world crumpled around Jake and dragged him down an abyss of lies. “Unfortunately, it’s the same old cliche you watch in romcom movies. You know, the boss and the assistant, long nights together in the office, intercontinental trips for books fairs... we are just two people who should never have fallen in love. And yet we did!”

[Jake is Bradley's assistant and he hates his boss so, so much... but he is forced to be his fiancé out of nowhere. Aka The Proposal AU]

    Summary

Tom Kazansky, four-star admiral of the Navy and former Commander of the US Pacific Fleet, is recovering from cancer in San Diego with the support and care of his long-time spouse, Pete Mitchell. Pete was discharged from the Navy thirty years earlier, after an unplanned pregnancy. Their son would become a Navy fighter pilot himself, similar to Bradley Bradshaw, who carved his own path after Pete had interfered with his college application.

Admiral Beau "Cyclone" Simpson visits Tom and informs him that twelve Top Gun graduates, with the young Bradshaw and Kazansky Jr. amongst them, had been recalled to North Island to prepare for a dangerous mission. Knowing that the shared resentment and jealousy between the young aviators would make it impossible for them to prepare and survive the mission, Pete asks Tom to get him back to Top Gun as an instructor.

    Summary

Neither Hangman nor Rooster have any idea how come none of their friends know they're married, and have been for years. Sure, they're not the most affectionate in public, but they're smitten with each other, and to be honest, they went at it in way too many public spaces not to be caught.

Apparently, their friends and Captain are just not that bright, which turns very interesting when Rooster becomes obsessed with getting Mavering and Iceman together. Somehow, through it all, neither Hangman nor Rooster realise their marriage is somehow a secret...
