Summary
A mostly crackfic series that asks, what if Shane and Ilya were slightly out of character? Shane is bitchier, Ilya is manic and philosophical, Cliff Marleau and the Boston boys take turns babysitting their crashing-out captain, and Shane finally gets recognized as the pretty, funny, sassy player he is.
Nothing is too serious about this, it's a mix of show and book canon, and a healthy dose of fanon (himbo king Cliff). Ilya is allowed to catch feelings early, as a treat and Shane is allowed to let his inner mean girl out.
Please enjoy these silly boys and their silly relationships! Four works so far with more to come! How much more? I don't know! They keep doing silly things and my brain keeps writing it down.

Summary
Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander were the number one and number two draft picks. Their rivalry was highly anticipated after their performance in the Prospect Cup. Everyone was foaming at the mouth to see them on the ice. Their CCM ad campaign was huge. The Rozanov/Hollander rivalry was going to be legendary.
Then the announcement came that Shane Hollander had a family emergency and was pulling out of the 2010-2011 season. There was a very professional comment on his social media saying, “I am sorry to disappoint the Metros fans. Thank you for understanding my family’s need for privacy at this time. I am looking forward to being back on the ice in the future.”
The fans were spiteful, venomous and digging into the private life of the teenage boy they felt was letting them down. People found a birth record for an Iris Hollander with Shane Hollander listed as her father and no mother listed.
Teen dad Shane starts a year later, playing for the Centaurs. Ilya spends a year obsessing over him while Shane raises his daughter.
