Sixteen Years ago Draco Malfoy lost the girl because he didn't have a plan. It's not a mistake he's going to make twice.
Hermione Granger has no plans on making the same mistakes twice, either, and as far as she is concerned, Draco Malfoy was definitely a mistake.
They have just seven sessions to unweave the past from the present. Seven sessions in which they both want to figure out a way to move on with their lives. However, Draco is determined that he'll be doing it with Hermione by his side, and Hermione is sure it will after she finally allows herself to say goodbye.

He had once kept a mask on because she asked him to remove it. He had taken great pleasure in refusing to kiss her because he realised she wanted him to. He had even made her demand things merely because he liked hearing the pride break in her voice.

Hermione looked again, unable to stop the itching beneath her skin at the possibility of him sitting there watching her.
Malfoy’s grey eyes were already on her, and a chill fell over her skin.
This time, Malfoy’s expression did something.
It was barely anything, really, but to her it was the difference between disinterest and lingering curiosity;His gaze dropped, slowly, to her mouth.
Then lower, to the place where Cormac’s hand disappeared beneath the table, and then back to Hermione’s face.
There was no anger in it, no jealousy. Only a faint narrowing of his eyes, as though Cormac were not important… As though Malfoy did not consider him important enough to find him competition.
Hermione’s pulse kicked. She knew right there and then, exactly what he was thinking.

Draco Malfoy has a dilemma. His father has been sent to Azkaban. His mother is struggling mentally with the absence of his father. The Ministry has let him off with a sentence of attending a mind healer. With mind healers in such high demand after the war, Draco Malfoy agrees to attend group meetings at Hogwarts. When he realizes Hermione Granger is also partaking in these sessions, he does whatever he can to find ways to spend time with her. She is quick to offer him her friendship, and soon the two are given tasks to help Minerva McGonagall get Hogwarts ready to open for the upcoming school term. With urging from his mother and Granger, he signs up to attend for his 8th year. With his want to possess Granger growing quickly, he tries to take things at a slower pace. But it isn't as easy when Granger feels safe with him and vows to stand by his side. Can their relationship make it through the obstacles of 8th year with pressures from the ministry, family, and peers? Can they overcome their mutual fear of the darkness of Voldemort's world returning and taking over their lives again? Draco needs Hermione to understand what she is taking on, because once she has all of him, there is no going back
