Chan hadn't used his alpha voice, but he had spoken with authority. Instinctually, Jeongin was rooted in place. He knew he could continue walking, knew he was choosing to stay put… because Chan was his pack alpha, and Jeongin wanted to please him.

Jeongin remained facing away as he asked a second time, taking a shuddering breath before biting the bullet. “I was hoping that you would teach me how to properly care for an omega. Now that we know I’m an alpha.”
“Oh, Iyennie,” Chan cooed. “You’ll be just fine. You're sweet, and kind, and you're a great provider. Any omega would be lucky to have you as their alpha.”
“That's not-” Jeongin remembered cringing as he corrected Chan. “That's not what I mean.”
“No? Then what-” Chan had figured it out mid sentence. “Oh.”
“Yeah, oh.” Jeongin had replied. He remembered Chan’s words hitting him like a bag of rocks, sinking deep into his chest. Stupid, stupid, stupid. “It was stupid of me to-”
“Yes.” Chan had cut him off.

Summary
When the bullet hits, Eddie goes down. One second, Buck has locked eyes on Eddie, the next, he is on the Psionic Plane. Eddie is dying, and only a bond with his Guide will be able to save him. Not everything is easy for the two as soon as Ana Flores learns that her former Boyfriend has been shot. She accuses Buck of forcing a Bond on Eddie, and it ends up with the two of them being kept separate. An investigation is started to assess the claim, as Ana Flores does what she can to get the bond broken, even calling in Helena and Ramon Diaz for help. After all, she knows that when a Bond is broken, it can never be forged again.
