    Summary

“It’s too hot, Rin. I think the air is swallowing me.”

Rin had a simple plan for the summer: lock himself in his brother’s abandoned, suffocating campus apartment, ignore the rest of humanity, and survive the grueling July heatwave in total isolation.

Then Isagi Yoichi dragged a box of textbooks through the front door.

Isagi is washed out, ghostly pale, and entirely too small for his oversized sports jacket. Rin wants to ignore him. He wants to beat the crap out of him for leaving the refrigerator door open at two in the morning. But standing in the pale blue light of the kitchen, looking at his new roommate's hollow, unblinking eyes, a terrifying chill settles deep in Rin's chest.

Something about the boy is deeply, fundamentally wrong, or is there something fundamentally wrong with himself?

    Summary

Fresh out of school and on summer break leading up to his last year of high school, Itoshi Rin is set to spend these next three and a half months of his break shutting out the entire world, and doing what he does best: oil painting.
But Sae, one last time, gives a shake of his head. “You’re going to the Isagi household.”
    "I'm going to what?"

Out go his initial plans to oil paint all summer and with Sae's force, Rin happens to take up a gardening job at the friendly Isagi household. The son, however, is a total mystery. As long as Rin does his job and doesn't get close with him, then it should be fine, right?

He never expected that upon meeting Isagi, feelings begin to swell up like a festering, raw wound. Unfortunately, whether Rin likes it or not, things start to happen between them.
