    Summary

If Enjolras wanted to build his own pyre, let him. Grantaire didn’t need to burn at his side for the sake of some doomed quest for equal rights.

Paris, 1971. Grantaire is a werewolf, reluctantly persuaded into letting a recently-bitten journalist Enjolras interview him for a book he's writing about lycanthropy, and the prejudices and practical difficulties werewolves experience, from job discrimination to being hunted for black market potion ingredients.

A modern AU, in which Enjolras sacrifices his entire life to the cult of young professionalism in a city full of strange and wonderful characters. Although there are not many new and novel things to feel in your late twenties, Grantaire introduces him to one more: the sensation of being known.

    Summary

It's this first week of re-adjustment that Enjolras dreads, the week full of odd glances in the hall and of subtle reprimands from teachers who look at him like he's suffered some sort of irreversible fall from grace.

Grantaire would love that. If anything about this situation is concerning, it's that he's firmly resisted the opportunity to make a comment about Enjolras's burned wings or cracked halo.
