Summary
Sawamura Eijun loves baseball, and has quite a bit of untapped potential, but he lacks confidence due to past experiences in middle school. Not to mention, he’s extremely hard of hearing, which makes communication more difficult. However, an offer to come to Seido still arrives, and suddenly he finds himself going to a school devoted to the sport he had decided he was done with.
Meanwhile, Miyuki Kazuya is great at baseball, but lacks some tact and understanding that would make him an effective leader off the field as well as on. Perhaps it’s just his personality, or perhaps it’s something deeper. Whatever the case, he doesn’t see a need to change, until he’s working with the new first year pitcher at Seido, Sawamura Eijun. Usually, working with a pitcher would be no sweat, even if he offended the player along the way, but there’s one catch: Sawamura Eijun is extremely hard of hearing, and— for some reason— is terrified of upperclassmen.
Or, an AU to Ace of the Diamond where both Sawamura and Miyuki are more traumatized, Sawamura is hard of hearing, and they learn and grow together.

Suo really wished he’d be given permission to eat something else for a change. Anything else, really. This bland, bitter, nasty food was far too difficult to stomach. He was sick of it.
And he understood that intermittent fasting had several benefits and helped keep him healthy and in shape, but it just…..didn’t feel worth it to Suo.
It felt like his life was just rinse and repeat; the same awful meal eaten alone every single day.

“Hiiragi,” his homeroom teacher shouted at his back. “I need to talk to you!”
“You’re talking, now,” Hiiragi answered. The teacher didn’t catch the implication.
“It’s the post-graduation surveys.”
“Yeah. What about them? I did mine. Trade school, or start working, like everyone else.”
The bald-headed teacher, who looked distractingly like a potato chip mascot, didn’t seem to move his mouth under his mustache. He spoke just the same. “Not yours. It’s Umemiya’s survey. His is missing.”
It took all of three seconds for Hirragi to understand. “Of course it is."
Hiiragi is sent to get Umemiya's post-graduation survey. It would be an easier task if Umemiya had any intention of filling one out.
