3 years ago, she started feeling even more of a burden when she went for a private checkup, only to find out she had severe anxiety and chronic illness. She pushed through for all those years, hiding her faults and fears, her anomalous nature. But what happened this morning was when she couldn't hold it in anymore.
She needed to let it out before one of her outbursts made the Honmoon's condition even worse; she needed Zoey and Mira. She needs to apologise and tell them. The pain's too much...

Summary
Rumi would disappear for long stretches, returning with damp hair as though she had stood under cold water. She wore long sleeves even in the humid practice rooms, and sometimes her hands trembled when she tried to lace up her boots, and refused help when either Mira or Zoey offered.
Zoey finally caught on to the truth the night she woke up for water. She noticed the faint glow of the shared bathroom light under the door. The penthouse was silent otherwise. She hesitated, then pushed the door open to find Rumi curled up on the cold tile floor, arms wrapped tight around herself. Her cheek was pressed against the porcelain, strands of hair plastered to her face. She didn’t even startle when Zoey stepped inside, didn’t look. Her eyes were glued ahead, unfocused and glossy.
“Rumi?” Zoey whispered, “what are you doin’ in here?”

Over Rumi's arm, crawling up her shoulder and to her neck, were dull, dark purple patterns. They were unmistakable. They couldn't be anything else.
Around them, the honmoon rippled; the patterns flashed in time with it, a wave of vibrant pink pulsing through them and closing in on the injury, only for the glow to be repelled and spread outwards instead.
The cold dread from before was back, pressing its frigid fingers to her spine. Her limbs were suddenly too heavy to move. Her brain buzzed with thousands of thoughts, too loud for any specific one to stand out.
It didn't make sense. It wasn't possible.
But then, neither was her shin-kal cutting Rumi.
Honmoon weapons only killed demons. It was the reason Zoey could take risks with throwing her shin-kals—even if she did hit someone, the worst it could do was bruise.
So why was Rumi bleeding?
