Il y a en lui une mauvaise nostalgie, la nostalgie qu’il ressent en pensant à ses parents, le soir dans son lit, ou lorsque Gabriel et les Teknos évoquent les leurs. La même nostalgie de l’approche des vacances, de la perspective de rester seuls à l’internat pendant des journées entières. Une nostalgie pleine d’amertume et d’un sentiment froid d’échec. Le genre que les plus grandes victoires au Foot 2 Rue sont incapables de consoler bien longtemps."

Tears of frustration were threatening to leave her eyes once again as her hands trembled, manicured nails digging and digging into the purse in hopes she’d find a lighter as she grew more desperate.
It wasn't until someone gently lifted her chin, before lighting up the cigarette she had between her lips, his touch so intimate yet casual, that she realized there was someone standing before her. “You don’t look well.” His voice always held that tint of concern that she oh so hated when it was directed toward her. “I won’t tell your brother about this.” He gently let go of her chin as he eyed the cigarette between her plump lips.
She hated how gentle he’d be to her in times like this, unsuspecting that he was the whole reason for her distress.

When desperation is high and feelings are hurt, people are bound to show their true colors. Falling in love with him was never a choice, never a decision she made consciously. She out of all people should've known better than to fall for her brother's best friend who is a well-known playboy, after all, a relationship like that was doomed from the start. Or was it?

Childe had quite a few scars. From his time in the Abyss to his enrollment in the Fatui, there’d been no shortage of battles. As he grew stronger, fewer opponents were able to land a hit on him. Most of his scars were fading, but the slash on his arm seemed just as bright as the day he’d gotten it.
“So this is my mark?” Lumine thumbed it gently. Proudly.
“Yep. One of my favorites.”
When he’d gotten out of the Abyss, Childe had learned very quickly that others found him…weird. People were scared of his love for battle. More and more old family friends distanced themselves from him, and Childe found himself very alone.
He wasn’t one to shy away. Childe was an upfront man, and preferred to be honest when he could. But he’d never talked about the stories behind his scars to anyone before. To him, every mark was a memory. Different scars held different tales; some of them he held closer to his heart than others.
Most people wouldn’t see it that way. They’d be freaked out at the prospect of having a “favorite scar.”
But not Lumine.
