Summary
Two years after Scratch merged with Todd and left Brighton, Molly's life is going pretty great. She's grown up a lot and is excited to start high school! Suddenly, though, the Chens have to leave Brighton for a while to take care of an elderly family member, and two new neighbors move in to the big house on the hill, just up the street from where she lives, throwing a wrench into Molly's social life. All the while, her friendship (tentative as it ever was) with Andrea degrades and Molly finds herself struggling to handle the transition from "child" to "almost-a-young-adult." The new people in her life help her along in that transition, teaching her valuable life lessons and being taught by her in turn, but how can she balance the new with the old? What will happen to her old friendships now that so much of her life is changing?
