Summary
Colt messed up.
After his accident, he was so frustrated and hated that other people saw him while he was weak, so he pushed them away.
Now it's been a year and a half, he reconciled with Jody after the events following Tom Ryder's disappearance, and he hasn't spoken to Ryland once.
It's up to his sneaky, spy/assassin older brother to make the two make up.
They can only wonder what Ryland's been up to in the meantime.

She's been staring at the footage for over an hour today, the chase playing on a loop as it had in the days since it happened, Grace's bright yellow jacket a beacon in the blurs of gray buildings, black coats, and dull green grass. She stares at it for so long that it becomes the only thing she sees in her dreams anymore.

She meant to delete it. She meant to put it behind her and focus on the mission, focus on the Astrophage, focus on putting her betrayal so far back in her mind that she could continue living with her choices.
The videos are archived onto the Hail Mary instead.
Eva Stratt will never know.

"Hey colt." A terribly family voice began. He had to pause it already. It was a video. From a usb. One that he had so anti-climactically had simply plugged it into his laptop and clicked the video file. He was nervous. curled up in the dark room, another storm outside.
Or
Colt attempts to leave one last phone call for his brother lost in the vacuum of space and instead receives a usb from Ryland instead.

Summary
Eva Stratt came to talk to Colt Seavers while he was leaving his car as he arrived on set. He had two cups of coffee, one in each hand. His own sickeningly sweet frappachino-machiato-fuckalito bullshit, and Jody's latte with a dash of cinnamon. He hadn't taken a sip yet, he always saves his first sip for when he pulls Jody aside to drink it with her. His hair was combed, he claims it makes him look 'suave'. His sunglasses were on his forehead, he'd driven to work early, for once, and the sun hadn't come out so high, yet. He was half dressed in costume, metallic cargo pants and a black tanktop, Tom was some sort of space cowboy in this film. He'd nicked himself shaving, that morning; a small bandaid with "Boss Bitch" on it pressed just below his jaw. He was planning to tell people it was Jody's- planning to lie.
Instead, Colt Seavers found out his twin brother was dead.

Summary
“Rocky saw.”
His mind races. The what, the ship cams? Did they record Stratt’s men dumping him comatose and still and scared in the ship, did they talk about what they’d done to him? No, that would make sense. Besides, the Hail Mary was in orbit around Erid, not impossible to get to, but not worth it for a nose around. Or – maybe he’d said something in his sleep, and Rocky was only just talking to him about it. That also makes no sense. Or maybe –
“You… saw.”
“Eridians see dream-memories sometimes.”
“That literally makes no sense,” blurts Ryland, and Rocky stamps his feet. The way he’d done back on the ship when something was painfully obvious and Ryland failed to get it. “Sorry. You’re gonna have to explain.”
“Eridians are linked to all Eridians. Erid is like – word need word – database. Database for all Eridians thought memories events. When Eridians sleep, they see other Eridian memories. Didn’t happen on ship because no tie to Erid. Didn’t happen on Mary because no tie to Erid. Rocky saw Grace's memories.”
***
Or: Rocky finds out Grace was forced onto the Hail Mary without his consent, but not really in the way you'd expect.

Summary
Stanford gets a chance to reconnect with his brother for the first time since the "unpleasantness" of that winter in early 1982. Stanley's been hard at work since then, by the look of things. Healthier. Happier. He mentions a project he's been working on that he thinks Stanford would be interested in. Something that could make the world a better place. And Stanford, well. It's been nearly twenty years since he last saw his brother, and nearly thirty since the two of them had been anywhere near close. Can he be blamed for wanting to put the past behind them? For saying bygones? Especially since it seems like his brother has finally decided to put all that untapped potential to use, just like Stanford knew he could?
