“Nico di Angelo?” asked one of the detectives.
Nico looked at him, cocking his head and keeping his face neutral, still not speaking. There was a beat of silence before the other detective cleared his throat. Both detectives moved to sit across from him, their chairs scraping across the floor. A file was set on the table and Nico could see papers sticking out, a single name on the edge of one catching his eye, Bryce Lawrence. He worked to keep his face emotionless, but he could feel his stomach flip. ‘Oh,’ he thought, ‘that’s why I’m here.’
“Allow me to clarify the question, you are Nico di Angelo?” the same detective asked.

"I would've tried." Will blurted into the air between him and Nico, something he needed to say. He wasn't sure of much but knew he needed Nico to at least...know.
The look on Nico's face was far from purely anything. Though, if it had to be dissected, Will could pick out relief, confusion, guilt, and...something left to further discussion.
Nico sighs, stepping in closer, as he always did. He always had a tendency to get...close up and personal, and it always, without fail, caused Will's knees to go weak and make him want to spill all his deepest desires and secrets out without a single caution to the wind.
"I would have too."
When they met each other's eyes, they both came to the same conclusion; they were totally fucked.
