Anton Vale had been doom-scrolling TikTok when he came across the video. It was a cover of a new song that had apparently been trending recently with sad fan edits from their favorite fandoms. Nothing new, but for some reason this cover strung a chord within Anton's heart. It was hauntingly beautiful.

Summary
Penelope decides that the best way to fight off suitors (until whenever Odysseus gets back-because he has to) is for Telemachus to rise to the throne. The only thing is that for this plan to fully work and for the suitors to back off, he must marry. His reign must be legitimate and foolproof. What will he do? It is expected he will marry a woman, produce an heir, all that stuff that comes along with being king, but what if that isn’t the life he wishes for? What if he doesn't wish to be king, marry a woman, or live this life of royalty anymore?

In the new modern era, most humans have "abandoned" the Gods who they once worshipped. And in turn, the Gods have done the same to those same humans. Nothing is left of them now except for their stories, their legends. And only some remained faithful, who never lost sight of the Gods or their wonders.
Myth, is all was left. Gods no longer walked among mortals, at least, that's what the humans think.
One God in particular, a mischievous fellow, had his heart captured by a mortal woman. A bond over Ancient Greek and it's myths would blossom into a deep romance between the two.

The wisest thing to do would be to forget everything. Let him rot on the island at the hands of Calypso and simply admit her defeat. However, contradicting her mind, this time the heart of the goddess Athena speaks louder. Hearing Odysseus' continuous cries and prayers, she cannot stand still. Therefore, the goddess of wisdom takes matters into her own hands and goes in search of Odysseus, defying the will of the gods and, especially, of her own Father.
Alternate Universe in which Athena fails to convince the gods to free Odysseus, breaks the deal and goes to save him anyway. And, in the process, discovers feelings until then buried in her own neglected heart.

Annabeth shouldn’t have tempted the fates like that.
