Buddy continued on walking down the street, scanning for potential victim, but somehow he couldn't focus on anything. His mind kept going back to that purple man he had just met, his brown eyes, his white wavy hair, and that smile of his. Buddy quickly shook his head again, trying to get rid of those thoughts, he had more important things to do than thinking about some random man he bumped into. He tried to think of a strategy, but every time he did, that man's face would appear in his mind once again. “God, what's wrong with me?” Buddy quietly muttered to himself, as he continued walking through the crowded street. He tried to ignore it, but deep down, he knew he wasn't going to forget about him that easily.
After a while, Buddy finally reached the washing machine shop, but even after arriving, he still couldn't stop thinking about that man. He stood in front of the shop for a moment, staring blankly at the entrance, completely forgetting what he originally came here for.

Summary
The hunt for the Legendary Wolf at Cotorra Springs doesn't go exactly as planned, and Arthur Morgan nearly dies trying to get back to the gang's camp. After the gang nurses him back to health and he sells the hard-won wolf's pelt, he thinks that's the end of it. But strange things have been happening to him since the attack, and he can only go so long ignoring them before things come to a head. Will Arthur succumb to the monster he thinks he is, in more ways than one?
Werewolf Arthur Morgan AU, because it's a fascinating concept and I don't think there's enough of it out there. Follows canon to a point; eventual endgame Arthur/Charles but the romance isn't the primary focus.
