Summary
“You’re an alchemist. Winry said.”
He blinks. The kid does not. No hello is forthcoming. Neither is context. Roy finds his eyes searching for the toy that must be broken and resigns himself to his new job with a sigh. It’s practise at least. He won’t have to worry about forgetting how to draw a circle.
“Yeah,” he replies.

After the Flame Alchemist loses two limbs in an 'accident' not long into the conflict in Ishval, he ends up in the care of an automail engineer in Resembool. Unfortunately for Roy, it's not long before the Rockbells' daughter lets slip his secret to two bothersome brothers with a borderline obsessive interest in alchemy. He isn't a teacher and he most certainly is not a parent, but when tragedy strikes the sheep farming town, he finds that fate doesn't often leave a choice.Series

sometimes you go through things that feel like the apocalypse. sometimes you’re stuck in that place for years. sometimes, you open your eyes in the warm noontime sun on the other side of that line, and are forced to face continuity. how do you live after the end of a world? this story aims to answer that. it follows al during inpatient recovery, on excursions around central as his health improves, and even back in resembool before the epilogue time-skip. each chapter is named after a song, provided in the summary.Series

Summary
Slave number Twenty Three didn't know what to make of his new Master. The strange boy was nothing like other slave owners. Short on both height and temper, yet strangely kind to him, Master Ed seemed to know something about him that he didn't himself. Just what was it?
(The story where time-traveling to fix the past doesn't work quite as Edward Elric intended, and lost family bonds are reclaimed. Van Hohenheim and Xerxes-centric.)
