Summary
Simon has been living on Erid for a year. As far as the Eridians are concerned, Simon is just a normal regular guy. The eel teeth, the scales, the tree bark? All normal human things. Simon lets them believe it. What are they gonna do, check?
Then Adrian’s mate arrives with another human in tow, and Simon’s panicking. If the savior of Erid thinks he’s a monster, if he leverages the debt Erid owes him to kick Simon out…
Grace knows he’s a guest in this stranger’s home - Adrian made it very clear that said stranger is cagey around new people and if he asks Grace to leave, Grace has to go back on the Hail Mary until they can build him his own place. After four years crammed in a small space ship, Grace is desperate to be allowed to stay.
There’s a miscommunication in there somewhere.

"I really thought things would get easier after the pods." Ryland crossed his arms over his chest, leaning back into the uncomfortable arm chair.
Behind Ava he could still see the table where the others were arguing.
Could still hear them, too.
"You lying asshole!"
"Hey, we agreed that-"
"Jesus, and to think they pretended to be so perfect together."
Simon, still stuck at the table, caught his eye, doing his best to get between the people shouting vitriol at each other, calm things down as much as possible. Ryland winced.
"What gave you that idea?" Ava finally asked.
"I don't know." He sighed. "I won't make that mistake again."

Ryland and Simon, having finally gotten together, expect the rest of the filming to go without drama.
That is not quite how it goes.

Summary
All Simon ever wanted was to live a normal life. He accepted years ago in prison that he would die there. At least he got to live. Besides the occasional new inmates trying to pick a fight with him, it was decent.
But when a mysterious woman named Dr. Ava offers him a chance at freedom, he takes it. All he has to do is poke and prod at some alien sample from a distant moon. It sounded easy enough.
Now he was on SHIELD's most wanted list. Every agent in the city was looking for him. That included the cities resident Star-Spider, who definitely wasn't told what Simon looked like under all the alien goo.

Summary
"There's no need to negotiate for your safety, Doctor Grace," Stratt says sternly. "I can assure you, after saving the world, you will be looked after."
"Um, no," he says, shaking his head. "I'm not negotiating for my safety." He steps aside. “I’m negotiating for theirs.”
They walk into the light of the open doorway; Simon, squinting hard against the vivid sun with his hand raised to shield his eyes and Rocky, who chirps a casual "Hello, humans!" with a wave.
There’s a gasp; someone takes a step backward; one of the military personnel raises their rifle slightly.
Grace doesn’t have eyes for them - he only looks at Stratt.
And he decides, then and there, to replace the image of Stratt’s face sending him to his death, full of remorse and sadness, with the one in front of him: utter, complete disbelief.
Grace thinks he'll treasure it forever.or: rocky, grace and simon go to earth instead of erid
