Yuuichirou, an ordinary human bored with his ordinary life, suddenly encounters a creature often found in children's fairy tales: a Merman! It's amazing that there are mythological creatures in this world!
Mikaela is a merman who lives alone because her appearance is different from most other mermaids or mermans. Because her physique shows that she is female, but in fact Mikaela is a male. And that made the elders unhappy with him and drove him away, so Mika just wandered here and there, he had a house, but was rarely there, because Mika prefers to be on the surface.

Everyone pretty much hated Mika for something he was born with. The other omegas acted like he was a bad omen. Many resented the fact that they had to share a school with him. No one had ever heard of an omega with no scent. The alphas could barely tell when Mika fell into his heats-- part of him preferred it that way but in the end, Mika wanted someone to make him feel like he was worth something.
He wanted to feel loved; anything but a waste of space. When an alpha tries to, however, Mika has trouble warming up to him.

Yuu hums thoughtfully, “I don't think you'd be hard to love.”

“No, I'm serious,” he insists. “I think it would be easy.”
“You're awful.”
Yuu sighs when Mikaela shuts down again and refuses to answer him, as much as Mikaela doubts him, he was serious.
Two souls, both cursed, one afraid to face eternity alone and the other unwilling to try.
Maybe together they'll find a reason to live.
