Alastor cree firmemente que hay pecadores que fueron juzgados injustamente o que se arrepentían sinceramente de lo que hicieron en vida. Sus amigos y huéspedes creían que estaba demente pero sabían que intentar convencerlo de lo contrario era inútil, aún así se quedaron y algunos estaban dispuestos a apoyarlo en su locura, Alastor está agradecido de tenerlos en su vida.
Luego llegó Charlie Morningstar, princesa del Infierno y, según los rumores, un ser despiadado con aquellos que no eran nacidos del Infierno e indiferente con aquellos que lo eran. Apareció en su puerta un día, ofreciendo sus servicios a cambio de simplemente quedarse y ver el entretenimiento.
Entonces, a pesar de las protestas de todos, hizo lo que siempre hacía y la recibió en el lugar que consideraba su hogar, porque se había prometido a sí mismo acoger a todo aquel que quisiera quedarse en su hotel como un lugar seguro, en una convivencia relativamente pacífica y respetando sus reglas. McCoy had not realized until just this moment what an integral part Spock may have played in that iron ability to carry on. Spock had been stronger than any of them. There had never been a question that he would survive no matter what. Perhaps it had something to do with Prime coming through the wormhole. Kirk somehow believed because he had survived that meant he would survive. Spock was the one thing, the one person, Kirk believed the strong hand of fate could not take away from him. Like it had so many before.
