Summary
What is in a man?
Seymour had never had the answer to that. Figuratively, at least. A lot could be in a man. Something so sweet or so vile, or maybe both. Sometimes he couldn’t even try to get into the headspace of the men he met. Sometimes, they were predictable. But mostly, Seymour didn’t know many men besides Mushnik, and he was the kind of man whose decisions he couldn’t really understand.
Seymour would never really know what was in a man.
Figuratively.
Literally?
Well, now he did.

“Uh… hi. Jason, was it?”
“Mhm!” This was the most eager Marvin had ever seen Jason with a stranger. “My mom’s making dinner. It’ll be ready soon. Do you want to play chess with me?”
Whizzer laughed at Jason’s enthusiasm. “Of course. But, well, I’d like to have a word with your father first.”
Jason nodded and quickly excused himself, running to go set up chess in the living room.
Whizzer stepped over to Marvin, his smile fading as he yanked at his tie. Marvin let out a quiet yelp.
“I thought you said you’d get your wife out of the house.” He whispered fiercely through bared teeth.
“I… didn’t get around to it.” Marvin explained, sweating through his dress shirt. “And, well, I let it slip that you were coming over and… she was so excited to cook for you I just let her be.”
Whizzer sighed and let go of his tie. “Goddamit, Marvin. You’re horrible at being secretive.”
OR: Marvin invites Whizzer over for dinner. The appropriate amount of awkwardness ensues.

He looked away, embarrassed. “No.”
“It’s okay if you’re nervous, V. I get it! Sera didn’t let me into meetings until I was bigger, too. I thought they were scary at first, but then I learned to like them. I’m sure it’ll be like that for you, too!” She encouraged, voice bright.
He sighed. “Maybe. I mean, I like talking to people. But like… multiple people? In the same room? With expectations for what I’ll be like and what I’ll say? I don’t know… “
“Hey,” She lightly punched his shoulder, and he let out a squeak. “I know you’ll do great.”

Summary
Too immersed in his own thoughts of pain and self adjustment, he nearly whacked right into a man who was walking the direction opposite to him.
“Oh, I’m sorry.” Marvin said quickly.
“It’s alright,” The man was quick to wave a hand. “Often, people are too caught up with themselves to pay attention to me, anyway.”
Marvin blinked. The man held himself in such a way that Marvin knew what he was immediately. The man spoke in such a way that Marvin wanted to throttle him. The man dressed in such a way that Marvin wanted to pin him up against the nearest wall.
This man was queer. It was apparent. He was proud of it, that was also apparent. He could not be more opposite from Marvin, even after knowing him for only a second, he knew. How proud was Marvin about his personal affairs? Certainly less proud than this man.
He was attractive, too. It was a double whammy—In Marvin’s case, at least. Marvin wanted to sleep with him. Marvin also wanted to throw something at his handsome face.
He cleared his throat. “Sorry, what?”

“Oh, hey… Krelborn. Whatcha’ doin’ here?”
“I could ask you the same question.” Seymour kept his tone light, but it had undertones of something accusatory.
“It’s been a long night, just grabbin’ a drink.” Orin explained, holding up his hands like he did when he didn’t want to seem guilty. “I didn’t think you’d ever… be somewhere like this.”
“Hmmph. Well, maybe you don’t know everything about me.”
OR: Looking for some sort of outlet, Seymour attempts to go to a gay bar, but has his doubts in socializing. He is surprised to find that there is a certain familiar dentist also at this bar.

Summary
Alastor has become aware that he has Certain Feelings for Lucifer, but he's rarely felt this way toward someone, especially not this intensely, and he's unsure what (if anything) he wants to do about it. Worse yet, Lucifer still doesn't seem to like him very much, and he doesn't think Lucifer would take him seriously if he confessed. Stuck with these overwhelming, all-consuming emotions and feeling uncharacteristically hopeless about his odds, he decides to build himself a little safety valve to channel all of these horrid feelings into: sending Lucifer anonymous love letters.
There's just one problem with this plan: Lucifer wants to find his secret admirer, and he's decided to make Alastor help him with the search.
