Jayce felt his heart stop. A hurricane of emotions swept through his mind. Freezing his thoughts. Stopping his breathing like a spear in his chest. He couldn't even hear the commotion behind him. Caitlyn's voice. The sound of loaded weapons. His eyes widened at the sight of the man in front of him, the one he thought he'd never see again.
