"Dean." Your voice was barely above a whisper. "I had another nightmare."
You climbed in his bed and Sam felt something dark and vicious move through his gut. Dean's arm came around you before he was fully conscious, pulling you against his side like he'd been waiting for it even in sleep.
Ten minutes passed maybe more and he noticed the change. Your breathing had shifted, gotten shallower and slightly faster than sleep. Your body, which had gone completely still, began to move. Just your hips at first, a small roll that could have been anything, turning in sleep, adjusting for comfort. Then it happened again. And again.
