    Kiryu so often sought out the battles he knew Suo would be leading, if only to see him again. 

    They would fight one-on-one as often as they could. Once friends, now enemies against their own wishes, they couldn’t bring themselves to truly try to harm one another. Rather, they had fun with their fights, flirting and insulting each other all in the same breath. It always felt so light and teasing. It was almost like before, when they’d been able to joke around and just enjoy each other’s company without the weight of war hanging over their heads.
