Percy Jackson's Unified Theory of Other People and Why They Were, Generally, Decent held that any warmth directed at him was explainable by context. The barista who remembered his order was very good at her job. The study group that kept saving him a seat had gotten into the habit. The god who materialized outside his building every week with the correct coffee was, as he himself explained, very neighborhood-oriented.
Percy had never subjected these conclusions to scrutiny.
Apollo had been in love with him for three years. He had a structure for this: something built carefully, that worked, that let him keep the thing he most wanted to keep. It held. He was not going to say anything.
Then Percy looked up from his bivalves and started paying attention.

"That’s not just taller," Mitchell from the Aphrodite cabin said, emerging like a gossipy meerkat. "He got *hotter*."
Katie rolled her eyes. "He’s always looked like that. You people are just noticing because he got a haircut."
"And is that...a jawline?"
"You could cut celestial bronze with that jawline," someone muttered in awe.

By lunchtime, the whisper had become a full-blown joke circling the camp like wildfire.
“Percy’s not actually a Poseidon kid. We’ve been lied to,” said Malcolm from Athena cabin, not even trying to be subtle. “That boy walked out of Aphrodite’s cabin, got lost on the way to his own claiming, and Poseidon just took him in as a favor.”

Just a Time Travel Fix-It fic were Percy is the same age as Luke and Lee has a little bit of ~trauma~ and he is a calm (on the out side) kind ( don't look at him when the gods are pissing him off ) and elegant (only when the kids are watching or Amphitrite) prince. Percy Jackson wasn’t trying to be an enigma, he was just living his life, which usually involved more explosions than the average teenager's. It wasn't his fault people apparently thought his personality began and ended with pointing a bronze sword at things.
Between surviving two world altering wars and trying not to fail senior year, Percy had picked up a few skills that he assumed were common knowledge. He figured the callouses on his fingers from an electric guitar were self explanatory, and that his ability to julienne a bell pepper without losing a thumb was just basic survival in Sally Jackson’s kitchen.
From kick-flipping over unsuspecting demigods to accidentally lecturing the Romans on crustacean taxonomy, Percy’s "secret" life is finally catching up to him. He isn't trying to be the International Man of Mystery, he just genuinely forgot to mention that he's a walking disaster of hobbies, hidden talents, and bisexual energy that even a Starbucks barista can't ignore.
