When fallen Commander Erwin appears at Levi's doorstep, wearing the same clothes he'd died in seven years after the fact, Levi has a lot more than his own grief and lingering confessions to sort out.

IN PROGRESS AGAIN AS OF 04/04/26
--Levi is panting slightly. His eyes are narrowed, his forehead creased in what anyone else would think was bloodlust. He shoves Erwin’s shoulders down, eyes flicking wildly across his face as he catches his breath, the fight beginning to drain from him with each heaving gasp for air. In the late afternoon sunlight, Erwin can see the dilation in his pupils clearly, sees the flush that’s risen up Levi’s neck to his cheeks. Erwin only half notices the way his own hands have reached up to push Levi away, one gripping the back of his thigh, the other struggling to wrap around his wrist where Levi’s grip firmly pins him to the ground.
Ruthless. Dangerous. Violent. Terrifying.
No, Erwin thinks, intimately aware of how wrecked he must look with his jacket and cloak askew, his eyes widened and his hair windswept. He must look ridiculous. His face burns. He feels raw, bare, as if Levi has torn away a strip of his authority to expose him for what he really is underneath.
He’s not violent. Not with me.
