“I said I had places to be… a book club,” Spencer replied, his voice calm, dropping the act he’d been forced to wear for the last few hours. “And this is the only place I want to be.”
Aaron’s smile sharpened, a flicker of something dark and satisfied igniting in his gaze. “The world is getting bigger, isn’t it, Spencer? Every time you step out of their life and into mine, the walls of that little reality they’ve built for you get a little thinner. It won’t be long before there’s nothing left of it at all.”
Spencer didn’t flinch. He leaned in until he could see the reflection of his own face in Aaron’s eyes. “Let it fall.”

Aaron is a vigilante, killing politicians while leaving encrypted messages for Spencer in newspapers and via email. This sparks an unpredicted flame of love between the two in a world that is against it. Aaron will do whatever it takes to have Spencer at his side, to have Spencer as his, even if it means making sacrifices he never thought he would.
