Summary
Hermione Granger spent the last seventeen years focused on her job. The Golden Trio has grown apart, and as everyone around her moves on to marry and have children, Hermione is feeling pressured. With time running out to find an effective treatment for a disease affecting war veterans, Hermione travels to Chicago to meet another researcher and visit her parents over the Christmas holidays.
After the war, a presumed dead Severus Snape, established a life in Chicago. He runs a successful business and has made friends in both the muggle and magical sides of Chicago. When he arrives for the annual Wilkins' holiday party, he sees the familiar face of his old student, Hermione Granger.

Summary
Severus Snape has traded what might be one of his last peaceful summers for a tumultuous few months housing the Boy Who Lived after Hogwarts' student registry notified him of a potential abuse case at Number Four Privet Drive. If that wasn't bad enough, he finds himself revealing far more than he ever should have—and far more than Albus Dumbledore ever would have allowed—to the boy about his past, and his mother. When Sirius Black reveals himself with the intent of saving his godson from Snape, the three of them end up standing begrudgingly together to find Peter Pettigrew and clear Black's name before the proper authorities can be involved.
Harry finds solace in the unexpected care of an unjustly convicted man and an ex-death eater; meanwhile Black grapples with repressed attraction to the man he'd spent his childhood tormenting.

Summary
The war ended and the summer is over – Hermione is returning to Hogwarts to finish her education, Ron is going to auror training, Professor Snape is resuming his duties as Head of Slytherin and Potions Master. On the surface everything seems perfect.
However, after a turbulent summer, Hermione is less and less certain that Ron's the one for her.
Ron, however, just knows what their relationship needs. And when he decides to give it a gentle little push in the right direction, it turns all their lives upside down.
Initial Ron/Hermione, but this is a Severus/Hermione story though and through. It’s a fast paced, short series (that started out as a one shot in my head) with (I hope) an interesting but simple plot and quite a bit of explicit smut.
Note: I think Ron and Hermione aren’t a good match for each other, and while I think Ron is a dingus in cannon, I don’t think he would do something this stupid. However, Ron-bashing is my guilty pleasure, and in this story, he has no redeemable qualities. You've been warned.Disclaimer: A student/teacher relationship in real life is never acceptable.
