Summary
After the incident at the Washington Monument where Peter saves his class from falling to their deaths in the elevator, Tony is upset and angry and sends Rhodey, who lives in DC, to drive Peter back to New York right away. Rhodey is told not to ask any questions, and that this is an emergency.
When Rhodey had been told to pick up some guy named Peter Parker, he thought he'd be picking up a scientist, or some super powered vigilante. He's surprised when he rolls up and finds a fifteen year old kid that looks eerily similar to Tony when he was a teenager.
OR
Rhodey gets the wrong impression and chaos ensues as soon as he gets Peter back to New York.
OR
Peter almost gives Tony a heart attack twice in one day.

For years, he's avoided any reminder of old Peter Parker, managing fine until the famous senior tech workshop where you go to the top 5 leading technology companies to be what they call 'a workshop intern.' for a week. Which means he's going right into the lion's den- Stark Industries.
No one remembers him, he's sure but FRIDAY starts glitching around him anyway and
now Tony Stark is involved, trying to figure out what the hell is wrong with his building. He's intrigued and when he's intrigued there's nothing that can stop him.TL;DR: FRIDAY doesn't fully forget all the coding Tony put into her for Peter Parker before the forgetting. As the saying goes, you can never truly delete anything from the internet. Or, in this case, the smartest AI. Peter goes on to SI. Tony wants to know what's going on.

Somehow—don't question it— peter had managed to get an internship at stark fucking industries. He didn't even think that was possible! He doesn't have a school record, for fuck's sake. how on earth did they Choose him.

Peter doesn't exist. Not in the legal sense, or in the memories of others. So when he signed up to intern at stark industries, the last thing he expected was to actually be accepted. Now, he's hanging by a thread, trying not to break his facade while his ex mentor-father figure-hero-boss acts like he's a stranger (oh and he needs to keep his identity a secret)
