Tommy should’ve known this was coming.
It had all been going so well. Granted there had been a few tense moments, like when Phil finally let him into the cockpit and he almost blew the ship up, and a lot of learning curves for both him and the crew, but aside from that it was going well.

Summary
"Come on Tommy, we got to find the other guests," Jack pulls Tommy out of his stare and they both start running. The thought of his mother and father being worried sick makes his feet run faster. Maybe he'll be able to find Freddie and Eryn, they're likely there already.
The wet wooden flooring under their feet is almost slippery to run over in this rain but both boys manage not to fall.
Another strike of lightning makes Tommy's steps falter as something is caught from the corner of his eye.
Looking out at the sea, it's darkness that greets him, but another bolt of lightning makes Tommy suck in a sharp breath.
What was that?
Was that… eyes?
Or
Tommy is on a ship cruise with his family but it ends in tragedy when he falls off the ship. He almost drowns but is saved by a colossal beast that takes him away.

Phil groaned, not quite awake yet. The bed dipped beside him; he figured he wouldn’t be allowed to fall back asleep any time soon.
“DAD!” Tommy shouted, shaking Phil. “I want a Wilbur. Now.”
Phil blinked the sleep out of his eyes, struggling to keep up with his son. He had no clue what the fuck a ‘Wilbur’ was, but he could deal with that later. “Yeah, sure. Whatever you want, kiddo.”
OR; Phil and Tommy are known for running one of the most successful record companies. Spoiled rich kid Tommy finds Wilbur and goes "mine." Techno has other plans.
