"Me getting into trouble has given us two free meals now, I'd call that a success." Niall jokes, "told you I like you keep you on your toes."
"I'd just like to keep you safe and away from medical emergencies." Harry replies, putting his arms around Niall's neck and bringing him closer.

Usually, Harry helps.
In normal situations, in normal semesters, Harry helps. He’s able to bring Niall down from the brink of a high precipice and get him settled and steady again.
And Niall knows, he knows things are getting worse when that doesn’t happen.
Harry speaks, and he’s good, he’s so good to Niall, so patient, so full of love and understanding, but he speaks and Niall can’t hear him. He hears words and sentences and syllables but nothing sticks. Nothing goes through the panic, nothing breaks down the thick wall of anxiety that surrounds Niall completely.

Summary

Niall used all his strength and gave his friend, who had fallen to his knees right next to him, a weak push, silently telling him to move on but like before Louis refused to listen.
“Forget it,” he hissed through gritted teeth as a fresh round of coughing attacked him.
Louis could literally feel the fire on his skin now coming closer and closer with every second that passed. The smoke was filling his lungs, making it hard to breath but Louis instincts kicked in again.
He witnessed Niall wither away from him, seeing his eyes roll ack into his head, his body going slack.
“No, no, Niall!” Louis yelled, shaking the boy by his shoulders without receiving an answer.OR the one where

When Popstar Niall Horan is in the middle of his ‘Flicker Sessions’ tour in support of his first solo album, he learns from his managers there have been threats against him and they’re hiring a former member of the British military to be his bodyguard. Niall isn’t happy about it and to make matters even worse, when he meets his bodyguard Harry Styles he finds him to be closed off, abrupt and arrogant. The two clash but there’s a lot more to Harry than meets the eye and soon Niall figures that out.

Louis wishes that were true, that Niall was really that simple. To Louis, he’s a puzzle- not one of those one hundred or five hundred piece ones. No, Niall is a one thousand piece puzzle, and no matter how many pieces Louis connects: there’s always more. He’s intriguing and exciting and ridiculous but he makes Louis’ stomach roll in pleasant waves as he listens to him talk. And that’s something.
It’s more than something, and Louis is glad that he asked for a redo.
