Summary
When Harry Potter's fourth year at Hogwarts opens, the Ministry of Magic is a bureaucratic warzone. The Government has initiated "Asset Audits" to seize the estates of ancient houses, and Harry is their primary target.
Cut off from the oblivious "Light" side, Harry is forced into a tactical alliance with Daphne Greengrass, the only Slytherin brilliant enough to navigate the labyrinth of the law.
