God, this is all so patronising, Sam thinks. He knows she’s thinking of exactly how to word it, because she thinks of him as someone who’s a wrong word away from going mad. He can’t stand it. It might be true. He can’t stand it.

DCI Sam Tyler meets with DI Alex Drake, who wants to help him process the traumatic experience of his coma. He understands less and less that it was all a product of his imagination. She understand less and less that his team is still begging for his help.
(basically sam struggling with reintegrating into 2006 society, with alex there too yay! set at the end of S2E8 of life on mars so spoilers for LOM and vague spoilers for bits of ashes to ashes!)
