Summary
Eight years had passed since Felix delivered the miraculous straight to Shadowmoth. What felt like the end of the world at the time had become just another date in the history books. As the world changed, most things stayed the same. Marinette was still a hero, Adrien was still a hopeless romantic, and Lila was still a manipulative, evil little- well, you get the point.
The things that had changed, though, left the greatest impact. Lila's lies were finally exposed, and friends were forgiven in the aftermath. Battles had been won and miraculous had been recovered, causing Monarch to keep those he still had close to his chest. Most of all though, Chloe Bourgeois had completely turned her life around. It was a long and difficult process, but after basically disowning her own mother, apologizing to those she'd hurt, returning as Queen Bee, and starting a relationship with the girl of her dreams, many who knew Chloe Bourgeois during collège would hardly recognize her. Then, more than any other time in her life, Chloe was happy.
Of course, that was before she woke up trapped five years in the past and realized she had lost it all.

Summary
Post S5 Chloé has been thrown back into her Pre-Origins body. She doesn't know how this happened, or why, but she knows how things went and has no idea how to avoid the future. She's *angry* at pretty much everyone. In short order she has: Chased away her friends, estranged herself from her father, gotten herself akumatized, stolen the ring from Cat Noir, had a freakout when she realized that Adri-nobody was Cat Noir, broken the akumatization, and run off in a panic with the ring.
Adrien has admitted it's loss to Ladybug, but not that he knows the thief. He's still hoping he can get the ring back himself to make it up to Ladybug.
This isn't just a story about Chloe though. Hawkmoth is still out there, and Marinette Dupain-Cheng is a magnet for trouble every bit as strong as the raging blonde. Today begins with just such trouble, as an attempt to do something good for her parents has horrible results that could never have come about until the advent of Hawkmoth in Paris. Now Marinette has to stop an akuma on her own... or does she?

She stokes Chloé's bruised ego to enlist her help to chase after the tour, in the hopes of foiling Lila's plans. Akumas spring up along their path, texts with Adrien grow more deep, Cat Noir appears where he should not be, and through it all Marinette is forced to interact with a girl who has been a huge part of her life in all the worst ways up until now. What truths can be discovered though, halfway around the world and away from prying eyes?
