So here he would wait, he would kneel and pray to a dead god, the Son's back-stabbing apostle hanging above him. Here he would wait for his angel of death, here he would wait for the machine.

Yeah, now that Satoru thinks about it, that does make sense. Anyway, it’s hard to think clearly when Suguru is suddenly climbing onto the bed, invading his personal space and leaning in so Satoru can feel his breath against his lips.

The fingers of his right hand twitched with the urge to grab his phone from his night stand. Satoru was out with their friends, but he’d answer. Imagining the way he’d greet him excitedly from whatever bar they ended up at made Suguru’s chest feel hollow with longing. He wanted him so badly it made him fucking nauseous. Like he’d gulped down saltwater.
He refused to give in, though. Satoru was enjoying himself. The least Suguru could do was allow him that moment of joy. Even when every second without him felt like a full minute of bleeding out from a fatal wound, he would not make himself any more of a burden. Satoru deserved better than that.
“Suguru?”
