    2 years later, Deep Cut flies toward the Spirhalite Islands to look for some treasure, but they end up crash-landing there. After 30 days, they build the Hideout Ship with their pilot, the mechanic Octoling Mecca; the four of them will travel through the Islands to search for any treasure, battle Salmonids, and uncover the Islands’ lore before they can return home. Meanwhile, the rest of Squidbeak Splatoon are trying to find out what is causing the increase in Salmonids during the Salmonid raids while trying to figure out where Mecca and Deep Cut are.
