So he was the only bastard. It would explain the mismatched eyes that only he had. They were Baelor's, like how he passed it as well to Valarr. But on Aerion they looked horrendous, enunciating the monstrousness of the features that used to be his points of pride for being different, for being unique. Aye, he was different, but not in the way he thought.
He looked this way because he was accursed with bastardy. The gods made him look like a beast because of the blood that ran through him. He was made out of shame hence his appearance that was meant to be shamed and hidden away. He was ugly and abnormal and deformed, and he could see now the people's eyes that he willingly ignored before: they bore disgust and pity when they looked at him.

The words make him feel heady and he wonders if the pretty Omega boy knew just who he was talking to—Baelor Targaryen belonged to the House of the Dragon, blood married blood and such unions brought forth relations that made the rest of the realm sour. Something in him purrs in delight at making the usually stone-faced Omega flush and he whispers lowly, "If you were my son, I would not let you take a single step out of the Red Keep without my sigil collar on your neck."
Valarr Targaryen dies and then wakes up years in the past where the stirrings of the first Blackfyre rebellion have begun.
