Summary
Ghost gets assigned a new Ghost Hunting partner while Toast is…away. He doesn’t handle it very well. Doesn’t handle anything very well without his best friend there. He starts a few fights, pushes away anyone who tries to help in his desperate attempts to get him back.
He does, just barely, but in the process he falls headfirst into a government wide conspiracy, dragging a few stragglers with him.
Ghost never wanted to be the one to save the world, but his unique skill set makes him the only person who can. Will he, Toast, and his reluctant (mostly on his end) new friends be able to stop the coming disaster before it’s too late?
(AKA I embrace my cringe and become my true form: even more autistic about P.I.E. Includes a frankly impressive amount of projection.)

(VOLUME 4 SPOILERS!!!! I know it came out a while ago, but still!!! The entire premise is based on a major twist towards the end!!)
Jack is usually a pretty non-confrontational guy. He avoids fights, physical or otherwise, whenever possible, and he’s not very good at them when they do happen.
Well. Except for when he’s not. A nice, tasty, combo of general trauma, and PTSD symptoms, will, on occasion, flip the switch from apathy to anger- from fawn to fight. Half the time, he doesn’t even remember what he did, but he’s had his fair share of bruised knuckles, and broken fingers, in the aftermath.
Jerry knows about it, and he helps him whenever he can. He’s gotten very good at calming him down. And he can usually atleast avoid getting punched when he can’t.

Ghost is aromantic.
That doesn’t stop his life from devolving into the plot of a shitty romcom. If romcoms were allowed to be gay and transgender at the same time, atleast.
It’s fun. He likes Rowan quite a bit, as a friend, and they’re a very good one. They’re also attracted to him. Perfectly fine with the fact that he’s never going to reciprocate, but he’s known it since day one.
And then he starts to question himself, falls headfirst into a sexuality crisis, wondering whether he does, actually, and that’s. A lot less fun. Quite the opposite, really.
(Or- I somehow manage to shove even more personal trauma into a single character. It’s a talent.)
