"W-wait... what?" Enid said, eyes wide.
Enid stared at her, a twinge of jealousy and irritation began to move in her chest, and maybe her tone came out harsher than she'd intended, but she hadn't expected those words to come from Wednesday's mouth. "Who told you that?"
or Wednesday asks what “ily” means, and Enid starts an investigation to figure out who’s trying to confess their love to Wednesday... before she can.

The door closed in Enid's face with such force that the blonde was convinced the walls shook for a few seconds. Leaving her completely speechless in the middle of the hallway.

This leaves Jericho’s outcasts surviving in the worst place imaginable: everywhere. Forced to hide in plain sight among the blissfully ignorant "normies."
Wednesday Addams is, predictably, strong-armed into attending her mother's beloved alma mater. It wasn't exactly her first choice, but her options violently dwindled after a string of rejection letters from lesser colleges. Apparently, standard admissions boards lack the vision to appreciate an entrance essay they weakly categorize as "grotesque" and "a desperate cry for help."
On the opposite end of the misery spectrum is Enid Sinclair. Enid actually dreams of attending Nevermore. She has her sights set on their prestigious psychology program and is more than willing to suffer through a campus infested with rich, elitist snobs to secure her degree.

Until one night, she falls asleep against Wednesday Addams.
It isn’t supposed to mean anything. It’s just Wednesdays heartbeat—steady, quiet, predictable—that somehow makes everything inside Enid settle.
So Enid starts finding excuses to get closer.
A shoulder to lean on. An arm around her waist. A head against Wednesdays chest. Just a little more contact. Just until she falls asleep.
The problem is, Wednesday doesn’t know why Enid needs her.
And Enid isn’t sure she’s ready to admit that maybe it’s not just Wednesdays heartbeat she can’t sleep with anymore.
OR
Enid discovers that she can only sleep properly when she’s cuddled up against Wednesday and listening to her heartbeat.
So naturally, she starts finding excuses to cuddle Wednesday all the time.

Sonya's grin only widened as she sat up a little straighter, clearly enjoying Yelena’s discomfort. “Uh-huh," she said, her tone light but teasing. "Is that why you’ve saved her ass three times already?”
Yelena’s scowl deepened, her cheeks flushing with anger—or was it something else? “Shut up,” she growled, her voice lower now, though the tension in her body gave her away. Kara's eyes went wide, and she lowered her head to confirm that, indeed, her pants were unbuttoned and her shirt was a mess. She hurriedly fixed both, her cheeks burning red, then shot her girlfriend an embarrassed look.
