They never questioned Sanji's treatment of women. They all thought it was a little much sometimes but they knew he didn't mean any harm. It's also why they usually keep their female enemies away from him knowing he wouldn't ever bring himself to hit any woman for any reason. It wasn't until a particular fight took a turn for the worst that they finally understood why.

Summary
No one knew why but Sanji had a tendency to avoid any sort of kind, soft touches. He also avoided staplers of all things. None of the crew questioned it until Sanji seemed to be even more distant after Whole Cake Island. The crew try their hardest to help Sanji and understand what's going on with him but the only one who seems to be slightly successful is Zoro of all people.
This is your one and only warning. If you are going to blame me for triggering you even though everything triggering is very clearly tagged like underage rape, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts then please just don't read. Also, the underage rape isn't Sanji's father or brothers there is a kidnapping troupe and just an unknown character who is the culprit.

Sanji, with great sighs and groans, was not happy that he had to babysit.
Ever annoyed, he still successfully put on a happy face as the young boy wandered around his room, sticking his nose in every nook and cranny while carrying a bright blue book with him.
Eventually growing bored of that, the boy handed Sanji the children's book for him to read aloud.Sanji didn't even have a chance to announce the title before he saw a singular character on the front cover, wearing something... familiar.

Ace's eyes slip open. He lets go of Law as he looks at Luffy. Luffy's palm is flat on the desk, the various pastel colors on his nails glinting in the light. His head's tipped low, eyes shadowed by his hair.
“Luf?” Ace walks toward him, a bad feeling welling up inside of him. That's another one. A not-Luffy-expression. A side of his baby brother he's never seen before. They've become more and more prominent lately.
Luffy looks up. His eyes are wide, and his grin bright. He jumps off the desk. “I'm hungry,” he says. He's looking at Law.
Luffy's thirteen when Law moves in.
Ace only realizes what a mistake that was when it's already too late.

Summary
Meeting Luffy has changed Law's life in more ways than one. Not only is Doflamingo gone now, but Law is allowing himself to have romance and even friendships outside his crew for the first time in his life. And though it took a while to get there, by the beginning of Wano he's doing better than he had in a really really long time.
But the threat of Kaido still looms over, and when Law watches him beat Luffy and snatch him from right under his fingers, something inside him breaks.
While Law has gotten fairly close with Zoro in the time he spent with the Strawhats, and that somewhat helps the situation, the homophobic cook he's in love with is really starting to get on Law’s nerves.Aka, a reimagining of Wano with Law and Luffy in an established relationship, and Zoro and Sanji having a background slow burn heavily featuring Sanji's internalized homophobia.
Soaked with metaphor, trauma, and panic attacks - with an eventual happy ending.Series

“Marco!” The Thatch of his dreams slammed his fist on the door again. Cruel, too cruel. Marco’s knuckles went white with how hard he was clutching the pillow, feeling the fabric tearing under his grip.
Another knock, obnoxiously loud. Marco wanted to scream. He wanted to scream and cry and tell him to get the fuck away, to just stop! He wanted it all to stop! He knew he’d fucked up!
