Summary
Chi Cheng's hand shot out before the thought could intervene.
It wasn't a strike. Fingers clamped onto Wu Suowei’s collar, yanking him forward until their foreheads nearly touched. The collar twisted in Chi Cheng’s fist like a noose.
"You don't get to play games with me," Chi Cheng snarled, his voice vibrating low, words brushing against Wu Suowei's lips. "You don't get to stand there all polite and unruffled while I'm unraveling, acting like you're not reveling in it."
He tightened his grip, shaking Wu Suowei slightly, desperate to break that mask.
“Did you think that acting like a rookie would make me forget who owns you?" Chi Cheng spat the words, venomous and low. "Did you think I’d forget that you’re the Ministry’s pet?”
Wu Suowei's mouth curved—just the barest hint. Not a smile. Something darker, hungrier, laced with the secret burden of his vow. "I never said I wasn't."
... An oath pledge is not breakable, Chi Cheng. It’s done with life.

Summary
It was said that a wolf born under the crimson gaze of the blood moon was destined to be the absolute apex of their bloodline. They would be a natural Pack Leader, possessing a physical strength and an instinct that would bow to no one. They held the raw power to elevate their pack's dynasty to god-like heights or completely tear the supernatural world apart.
But...
"Puppy, puppy!" Wu Suowei exclaimed, his big doe eyes widening in realization. "Cheng-ge forgot to tell me your name!"
He lifted his tiny hand, tapping a finger against his soft chin in deep concentration. He looked up at the big puppy with an expression so devastatingly adorable that it nearly made Chi Cheng's heart stop beating entirely.
"What should I call you?" Wu Suowei pondered aloud, blissfully unaware of the absolute irony of his question. "You are very big, and very dark... maybe Little Black? No, that's too normal for a special puppy like you. Big Bear? But you aren't a bear..."
Chi Cheng simply sat back on his massive haunches, his black tail giving another slow, rhythmic thump against the dark wooden decking. He waited with infinite patience for his mate to bestow a completely ridiculous nickname upon him.

Summary
“They told me that wiping the slate clean was a kindness…” Wu Suowei whispered, his voice trembling as he reached out, his fingers hovering just inches from Chi Cheng’s jacket. “But if forgetting you is mercy… why does it hurt so much? Why did I feel as if I were dying every time I woke up?”
Chi Cheng held his gaze for a long, silent moment.
“You think I endured eternity because I was waiting for it to end? I was never waiting to be released.” His voice softened. “I was waiting to see you live...”
—
In a world where unnatural deaths, cursed relics, and impossible phenomena are erased beneath government cover-ups, the Special Anomaly Investigation Unit investigates the horrors humanity was never meant to know existed. But with every anomaly they uncover, Wu Suowei is drawn closer to a truth the world was never meant to remember.
Because this is not his first life.
He does not know that he is living through the final cycle of an ancient punishment woven into the foundation of reality itself. Nor does he know that someone has watched over him through countless lifetimes—finding him in every reincarnation, mourning every death, and loving him through every forgotten beginning.

Summary
A wobbly, gap-toothed smile broke across Wu Suowei’s face. He reached out his small, chubby hand.
"Puppy?" Wu Suowei whispered.
Chi Cheng completely froze. Puppy? He was a terrifying, apex predator of the Chi Pack line!
But when Wu Suowei took a clumsy step forward and buried his small fingers into the thick fur of Chi Cheng’s neck, the young Alpha melted. A deep, rumbling purr-like growl vibrated in his chest—a sound of pure contentment.
"You're a very big puppy," Wu Suowei concluded, giggling as the 'puppy' nudged his cold nose against his palm. The fear of being lost completely evaporated. "Are you lost too?"

Summary
Chi Cheng wasn't looking at the work.
He was staring at Da Bao.
He watched, completely mesmerized, as Wu Qi Qiong talked, his voice animated, his shyness forgotten in his enthusiasm. He saw the passion in his eyes, the way his whole face transformed when he smiled that wide, uninhibited smile. The light from the single desk lamp caught the curve of his cheek and the bright, unguarded joy in his eyes. Chi Cheng felt a sudden, sharp pang in his chest, a feeling so intense it almost took his breath away.
This. This was the feeling he couldn’t name, couldn’t categorize. This overwhelming urge to just… watch him. To see him happy. To keep that bright, unguarded light in his eyes. The chaos, the confusion, the internal battle—it all seemed to coalesce in that single, blinding moment of clarity.
The feeling wasn't just want. It wasn't just care. It wasn't just necessary. It was something deeper, something terrifyingly profound, a silent, powerful confession that went beyond simple ownership. It was a compulsion to devote his entire self to the preservation of Da Bao’s joy.
He was falling.
Hard.

Summary
Chi Yuan Duan picked up a white stone, its surface cool and smooth. He recalled Suowei's lesson in the command center—empathy as the ultimate strategy, the same fire that had turned ruthless takeovers into lasting alliances, spared lives in memorials, and even saved a sparrow. His empire had been strong. But his son’s… his son’s was invincible. It had something he had never possessed. A queen who was also a king. He placed the stone on the board with a quiet, satisfying click. It was a good move.
Just some interaction between the Tiger and Wu Suowei

Summary
“I found him.”
Chi Yuan Duan’s head tilted slightly, though his gaze never wavered from the altar. “Wu Qi Qiong?”
Chi Cheng’s lips pressed into a thin line. “He lives. But not as Wu Qi Qiong.” He let the name fall slowly, like a secret too long buried. “He is Wu Suowei now.”

Summary
“You chose to deceive me,” Chi Cheng cut in, his voice like ice.
“No, sir,” Gang Zi corrected him respectfully. “I chose to guide you. I created a circumstance for you to find a truth that was being deliberately hidden. It was a reckless gamble, and the dishonor for the insubordination is mine alone. But I would do it again. My loyalty is to you and your father’s legacy, not to protocol.”

Summary
Wu Suowei let out a shaky breath, a wry grimace twisting his lips. "Close enough," he muttered, gesturing to the rain outside. He moved slowly to a chair, collapsing into it with a sigh that felt like it came from the depths of his soul. "I quit. I finally did it."
Jiang Xiaoshuai paused, a flicker of surprise in his eyes, before a slow smile spread across his face. "You did? Good for you!" He grabbed a towel and tossed it to Wu Suowei. "Now tell me everything, start from the beginning." He moved to a cabinet, pulling out a first-aid kit.
