Summary
Naval Officer Sonic the Hedgehog was trained to command the sea, not to be captured by it. When a mission to recover the Chaos Emerald goes wrong, he finds himself captured aboard The Maria, a pirate ship commanded by the infuriatingly composed Captain Shadow. Stripped of his rank and thrown into pirate life, Sonic is forced to scrub decks and wear their uniform.
The emerald he's been tasked to find is still out there, and Sonic quickly realizes something far more unsettling: Shadow wants it too. As the hunt tightens and enemies close in, Sonic is forced to work alongside the very captain who captured him. And the longer Sonic remains along the Maria, the harder it becomes to tell where duty ends and something far more dangerous begins. Because some forces aren't meant to outrun. And some captains are impossible to ignore.

Summary
After their victory in No Zone, Sonic and Shadow the Hedgehog race off to the next reality to find and destroy the fake phantom rubies planted all across the multiverse by Infinite, who is still missing. They are soon met with yet another alternate version of Sonic...but unlike Zonic, he doesn't wish for justice or peace. No, he wants rebellion and anarchy, and he'll stop at absolutely nothing to achieve it. Even if it means he has to tear it all down himself. Sonic and Shadow's love for each other will be tested more than ever before, while the ominous gaze of their godly super forms watch over them with extreme anticipation. This is far from over.
NOTE: It is HIGHLY recommended that you complete the first book before reading this one! Certain terms and key moments of lore of the previous work in the series are vital in understanding a thorough read.

Summary
It's been 10 years since Sonic last saw Shadow, and in that decade, life had not been kind. He's stumbling through adulthood with no sense of direction or purpose, crumbling under the existential dread of aging, and to top it off, is suffering through an exhausting divorce process. Just as his whole world seems to be collapsing around him, however, an old friend returns... And might just be the lifeline he didn't realise he needed.
Now Sonic is having to navigate adulthood, heartbreak, grief and whatever these new (or maybe old) feelings are for his ex-rival. The strangest part is that Shadow seems to be the stable, emotionally competent one. What he doesn't know is that shadow is hiding a secret of his own- Ten years of feelings that he thought he'd let go of threatening to return.
This is a future-set Sonadow slow -burn where Sonic and Shadow reconnect after a decade of no contact. A mix of hurt/comfort, slice-of-life, humour, drama, fluff and spice (eventually). Themes include grief, romance, friendship, aging panic, unconditional love/care, and a flipped dynamic- Sonic is the one falling apart, and Shadow is the one who’s already healed.

I am not sure where this idea is going.
Edit: I am putting this here because I can't find the tags! So Trigger warning: this will have Physical A, Mental A and Emotional A.Why am I going this dark? I'll be honest. I just...have a lot going on and I am very angry. So I am taking it out on fictional characters. There will be a happy ending as I work through this story.
Why post it? I...wish I had an answer. I don't.
But to those who suffer from any of the three. You don't deserve it. You are loved. You are important. You are amazing. You are brilliant and you are going to heal and show them just how amazing you are. Do not dull your shine. Never! You outshine them and you show them how amazingly screwed up they are. Do not let them win. Even if you have to run and come back, it's okay. You will outshine them. You aren't alone. There is always a light. Even if it's hard to find. I promise, it's there. You just gotta find it.
