The mission was a simple one: grab the datastick and kill the target. Then an aphrodisiac gets released into the club and Shockwave has to tranquilize Blurr before he can do something he regrets. But the way the mech acted and the things he said to him have Shockwave fantasizing of something that could never be. Meanwhile, Blurr works up the courage to confess something important to the larger mech.

Summary
Perhaps it’s the knowledge that if Optimus dies, that idiot Sentinel takes charge of the Autobots. Perhaps it’s that Megatron wanted another kill to add to his tally. Perhaps it’s the tug of anguish and sorrow that the thought of Optimus dying evokes within him. He would rather not consider the latter too deeply.
(Or five times Megatron protects Optimus and one time Optimus protects Megatron.)
